Thirty-four local artists will be showing their work on Sept. 14 and 15, noon to 6 pm, in houses around the neighborhood. The artists showing range from Salik Katz, a 99-year-old Ukrainian artist, to Juan Carlos Pinto, who makes mosaics out of used Metrocards. The work on show includes painting, watercolor, collage, drawing and illustration, photography, comics, mixed media, glass, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, and scarves and accessories. Come and see what Flatbush residents have been up to and buy a unique artwork direct from the artists.
