Intrater, Roberta Grobel
Roberta Grobel Intrater may be best known for the award-winning children’s books she designs, writes and illustrates, but she’s also an award-winning painter and photographer. Her work has been exhibited in several one-woman shows, most notably her NYC festival photographs, now in the permanent collection of The New-York Historical Society.
She;s also participated in numerous group shows, including those at the Brooklyn Museum and Pratt Institute, where she earned an MFA in Photography and Printmaking.
She’s taught art and photography on every level, developed programs in both for elementary, high school and college students, and is also an accomplished photographer/journalist, whose travel and celebrity work has appeared in a variety of magazines, including New York, Playboy, Parents, Attenzione, Bridal Guide, Newsday, MD, the Daily News, McCall’s, Women’s World, and Crain’s NY.
