Woelfle, Aura Shahaf

Aura Shahaf Woelfle creates multi-layered fused glass art works, and private and public commissions using handmade glass stringers and murine in her kiln at Aura Art Studio in Ditmas Park. She incorporates a variety of materials layered into the glass such as copper mesh, silver leaf, sand, and mica powders to create depth and reflect light. Her most recent works focus on waves, water flow, and oceans as universal metaphors. Some of the material she will have on display is her intimate landscape portraits of Maine in glass. She also teaches art classes.
