Do we determine how we are seen by others or do the people we surround ourselves with define who we are? We can conceal or reveal as much or as little about ourselves as we choose, or can we? These are the questions I explore in my work.

I use images of people close to me; my husband, my family, my friends, and myself. I am interested in how they come across in my work and how they feel about how they come across. There is a satisfaction that comes from manipulating their likeness to something more true.

I use silkscreen printing as well as painting. I am able to control aspects of each image while allowing other parts to fade and decompose with this process.
