|
Born in Jamaica, West Indies, in 1948, Douglas came to New York at the age of six. He grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, first taking painting classes at the Grand Street Settlement Art School with Mary Bonfiglio. He continued developing his painting style at Brooklyn College and then joined the Art Student's League in Manhattan, studying with Oldrich Teply. Presently he is studying at the Art Student's league with both Oldrich Teply and Greg Kreutz. |
